Upper levels...
longwave trough is over the area with moderate westerlies north
of the Greater Antilles and the Gulf of Mexico north of 23n.
Through the period a ridge will slowly build over southern
Mexico and the northern part of Central America. One shortwave
will swing through the Atlantic portion of the longwave trough.
The shortwave will move off the U.S. Coast early Sunday and be
just east of 65w early Monday and continue to move east.


Surface...
cold front along the north Gulf of Mexico will rapidly move east
with large high pressure over the eastern United States
dominating the flow over the entire area behind the front. The
front will be east of the area by late Friday. The high will
continue through Sunday drifting east over the Atlantic then
weaken Monday. Next weak cold front move off the northwest Gulf
of Mexico coast Monday. Low over the northeast U.S. Coast will
increase the winds over the northern part of the Atlantic area
beginning late Monday and continuing through Tuesday. High west
of the weak front will remain over the central Mississippi
Valley through Tuesday.
