Synopsis... Southerly winds and seas will increase later tonight and continue through Tuesday as a strong cold front approaches from the west. Showers and thunderstorms will develop in advance of the front mostly Tuesday and Tuesday night. Some storms may be strong or possibly severe. A strong west to northwest wind will follow in the wake of the front on Wednesday...gradually subsiding Wednesday afternoon through early Thursday as high pressure builds over the north central Gulf. Northerly winds and seas will build late Saturday as another cold front moves south over the marine area.

Small craft should exercise caution

Rest Of Tonight... South winds 10 to 15 knots increasing to around 15 knots with higher gusts. Bay waters a light chop becoming choppy. Isolated showers and thunderstorms developing late. Patch dense fog developing.
Tuesday... South winds 15 to 20 knots increasing to around 20 knots in the afternoon. Bay waters choppy to rough. Patchy dense fog in the morning. Numerous showers and thunderstorms developing in the afternoon. Some storms may be strong. A Small Craft Advisory will likely be required.
Tuesday Night... Southwest winds around 20 knots becoming west 20 to 25 knots with higher gusts in the late evening and overnight. Bay waters rough. Periods of showers and thunderstorms.
Wednesday... West winds around 20 knots becoming northwest and decreasing to 10 to 15 knots in the afternoon. Bay waters rough becoming a light chop.
Wednesday Night... Northwest winds 10 to 15 knots becoming West. Bay waters a light chop.
Thursday... West winds 10 to 15 knots increasing to around 15 knots in the morning then decreasing to 10 to 15 knots in the afternoon. Bay waters a light chop to choppy.
Thursday Night... West winds around 10 knots becoming Northeast. Bay waters smooth to a light chop.
Friday... Northeast winds 5 to 10 knots becoming South. Bay waters smooth. Isolated showers and thunderstorms.
Saturday... West winds 5 to 10 knots becoming north and increasing to 15 to 20 knots. Bay waters becoming choppy to rough. Scattered showers and thunderstorms.
