Synopsis... A very slow moving cold front stalled over southeast Louisiana and coastal Mississippi will slowly lift back to the north tonight...as an area of low pressure tracks across the state of Texas. This low will then sweep to the northeast across northern Louisiana and Mississippi this evening. As the low moves through...a cold front will swing through the coastal waters with a strong area of high pressure will building in behind it on Wednesday. The high will remain in place through Friday.

Today... South winds 15 to 20 knots. Seas 4 to 6 feet building to 6 to 8 feet in this evening. Patchy fog early in the morning. Scattered showers and thunderstorms in the morning. Numerous showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon.
Tonight... West winds 15 to 25 knots. Seas 6 to 8 feet. Widespread showers and thunderstorms in the evening...then showers likely after midnight.
Wednesday... Northwest winds 15 to 25 knots. Seas 6 to 8 feet.
Wednesday Night... Northwest winds 15 to 20 knots becoming west 5 to 10 knots after midnight. Seas 3 to 5 feet.
Thursday... West winds 10 to 15 knots. Seas 2 to 3 feet.
Thursday Night... Southwest winds 10 to 15 knots. Seas 2 to 3 feet.
Friday... South winds 10 to 15 knots. Seas 1 to 2 feet.
