Synopsis For Lower Atchafalaya To High Island Tx Out 60 Nm... A northeast to southwest oriented cold front will remain nearly stationary today. A vigorous upper level trof advancing through the plains together with the stalled front can be expected to bring increased shower and thunderstorm activity to the northwest Gulf ...Ending this evening as the upper trof advances into the Mississippi Valley with the front exiting east of the region. A strong westerly flow becoming northwest will develop in the wake of the front and continue into Wednesday.

Tonight... West winds 20 to 25 knots. Seas 7 to 9 feet. A slight chance of showers and thunderstorms in the evening.
Wednesday... Northwest winds 20 to 25 knots decreasing to 10 to 15 knots in the afternoon. Seas 6 to 9 feet subsiding to 5 to 7 feet in the afternoon.
Wednesday Night... Northwest winds 5 to 10 knots becoming west 10 to 15 knots after midnight. Seas 4 to 6 feet subsiding to 2 to 4 feet after midnight.
Thursday... Southwest winds 10 to 15 knots. Seas 3 feet.
