Synopsis For The Middle Texas Coastal Waters... A potent upper level low will affect the waters tonight and Tuesday morning...bringing a chance of rain and a slight chance for thunderstorms. A generally moderate west wind will develop on Tuesday as the upper low moves east of the area. The west winds will bring much drier air to the waters and end rain chances. A weak to moderate offshore flow late Tuesday night will weaken and become onshore by Wednesday afternoon as low pressure enters the Texas Panhandle. Onshore flow will gradually increase through Friday night as the low pressure deepens. A cold front will push through the coastal waters Saturday afternoon with a strong offshore flow expected to develop in the wake of the front.

Tonight... North winds 10 to 15 knots decreasing to 5 to 10 knots after midnight. Bay waters slightly choppy decreasing to smooth after midnight. A chance of rain in the evening...then showers and thunderstorms likely after midnight.
Tuesday... West winds around 10 knots increasing to 15 to 20 knots in the afternoon. Bay waters smooth to slightly choppy increasing to choppy in the afternoon. Showers and thunderstorms in the morning...then a chance of showers and thunderstorms early in the afternoon.
Tuesday Night... West winds 15 to 20 knots becoming northwest 10 to 15 knots after midnight. Bay waters choppy decreasing to slightly choppy after midnight.
Wednesday... Northwest winds 10 to 15 knots becoming southwest in the afternoon. Bay waters slightly choppy decreasing to smooth to slightly choppy in the afternoon.
Wednesday Night... Southwest winds around 10 knots. Bay waters smooth to slightly choppy.
Thursday... Southwest winds 5 to 10 knots. Bay waters smooth.
Thursday Night... South winds 10 to 15 knots. Bay waters slightly choppy.
Friday... South winds 10 to 15 knots. Bay waters slightly choppy.
Friday Night... Southeast winds 10 to 15 knots becoming northeast around 5 knots after midnight. Bay waters slightly choppy decreasing to smooth after midnight. A slight chance of showers.
Saturday... North winds around 5 knots increasing to 10 to 15 knots in the afternoon. Bay waters smooth increasing to slightly choppy in the afternoon. A chance of showers.
Saturday Night... North winds 15 to 20 knots. Bay waters choppy. A slight chance of showers in the evening.
